We Are Expanding Production for a Port Technology Project
At Tawesco Trailers, we are continuing to expand our collaboration with the Swedish company Bruks Siwertell. Originally, we manufactured chassis frames for this global manufacturer of ship unloading technology and port transfer hoppers. Today, our plant also produces other key machine components, specifically the tower, cab, engine cover, and counterweights.
At first glance, they look like giant chairs. In reality, they are counterweights that weigh nearly one metric ton and help maintain the machine’s stability when handling bulk materials. Once they are finished and painted, they are shipped along with other parts to places like Canada, where they will become part of the final equipment. The resulting machine is used to unload cement, coal, and other materials from ships.
This project demonstrates the breadth of Tawesco Trailers’ current manufacturing scope and how our role within individual orders is gradually expanding. In addition to manufacturing chassis frames and components for truck trailers, we are also increasingly involved in the production of structures for port logistics.
